Year of Lights

Year of Lights

IMG_0158.JPG Happy New Year & Welcome to my blog all new comers and past readers!

It’s good to be back!

At my church’s Global New Year’s Eve Service with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Pastor announced that this year, 2019 is the Year of Lights ⭐️

So, here we are Shining (And Winning✨👑)

2018 was a beautiful year of The Supernatural filled with Supernatural supply, strength, abilities, insights, wisdom, knowledge, health. It was also filled with, prayer, partnership, fellowship, growth and A LOT of Grace. The testimonies are too much to even list in one post – so that will have to be for another one!

I know a lot of people (including myself) who went through a lot of challenges in 2018, but all of those people are here with me in 2019 and doing well & I thank God for that testimony.

In the New Year’s Message, Pastor mentioned that:

1. Light is for Illumination:

Light brings clarity. When the light is on, you see things more clearly. Illumination is synonymous to “revelation” and “insight”. Where there’s light, there’s an understanding. In psychology, creative thinking has four stages and illumination is one of the stages and defined as the period where “the obscure becomes clear”. Illumination is the solution stage. If we as Christians are the Light of the World, this means that where we are, in whatever we’re doing there is clarity and insight and a solution.

2. Light gives Leadership:

Leaders are passionate, bold, focused. They produce and motivate and are committed to their cause and the vision.
Leaders give guidance and so does light.
Light leads. when there is light, the path is clearer, just like with a Leader, there is a clear vision. And just like a leader, people follow the light.

“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” – John 8:12

When you are a light, you are naturally a leader because people will follow you. Everyone is attracted to light, so shine bright and lead others the right way.

3. Light gives Empowerment:

Google tells me that Empowerment means “authority or power given to someone to do something”, “The process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one’s life and claiming one’s rights” and likens it to “enable”. So, light enables you and gives you control. The energy from light powers you and gives you the capacity to perform. Just like the sunlight powers the solar panels giving them the capacity to generate electricity. The more sun, the more sunlight absorbed, the more power received. Same goes for us too. The more time we spend with God, the more the intensity of your light and the greater your performance.

“Moses didn’t realise as he came back down the mountain with the tablets that his face glowed from being in the presence of God.” – Exodus 34:29

4. Light is for Signs and Seasons:

Wherever you are, shining, that is a sign. You give light to the Earth.
You are useful and a sign of God’s provident care, a sign of peace.
Your light is a sign of hope.

I was walking to church on New Year’s Day, thinking about the NY message and I had a thought – If you’re not around, no one can see your light. This is why it is so important to go out there and preach the gospel, evangelise and make yourself known in your environment.

If you keep to yourself no one will be able to benefit from your light. You can’t enter a closed store. The store may have what you need, but as long as the store is shut, and the business never advertise you won’t know what they sell or if they have what you need. As a child of God, you are a solution centre; salt of the earth, light of the world, open (shining) 24/7. You can’t afford to hide your light. And that’s why you have to go out into the world and let your light shine. Influence and impact the world around you.

Don’t hide away this year. Let people know that there is a God and that they were made to be a light also. There’s enough success to go around and enough space for everyone to shine without trying to dim anyone else’s light.

Again, Welcome to the Year of Lights! This is YOUR year. Some people may say “Okay, but you said last year was your year and the year before so, what now?” Well, why can’t every year be your year? 🤷🏾‍♀️ It just gets better and better!

I pray that every idea, project and plan that you have comes to fruition this year and shines in the name of Jesus.

Sometimes things can feel a little harder or a little more challenging than you think they should, but don’t give up. Listen to The Holy Spirit, follow His instructions and I’m sure this year will be the best yet.

I See

I See

Next up on The Playlist is the amazing song ‘Blessings’ by Naffymar (featuring Sam Jamz)!

Definitely fitting considering October is the month of Blessings.

I love this song because it’s a song that shows that consciousness of the fact that we have the power to invoke blessings in everything and unto anything.

“I’m the seed of Abraham it’s something you should know, everywhere that I go blessings overflow” 🎶

Say what you want to see. If you want to see blessings, then use your words to make it so.

You can find it on quite a few music outlets including Soundcloud and Reverbnation:

Or you can find the acoustics version on YouTube:

This song is definitely lit and just by singing along, you are making life changing confessions!

Listen and be blessed!

Keep Shining & Winning

Welcome to October the month of Blessings!

What an awesome way to enter the month of October after ‘catching the rain’ – receiving, meditating and making God’s word mine during September, the month of ‘springtime’.

During the October Global Communion service, Pastor Chris said:

“A blessing is that which confers, invokes, authorises or shares prosperity, power, ability and welfare. A contented state of being happy, healthy and successful.”

Okay…Where do I sign up for one of these? Am I right? 😅

The truth is God already blessed us, right from our beginning,

“God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” – Genesis 1:22

And when God blesses you, you remain blessed!

How did God bless us in the beginning?

The bible tells us He said. God blesses us through His words and through our words is how we too should and can bless. We can speak over our situations and circumstances; over our jobs and studies; our whole day! (Ref. Genesis 2:3).

What we say can cause a blessing or a curse and we should learn to speak blessings.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.” – Proverbs 18:21

If you are not satisfied with the way things are going, then change the way you talk. I have been training myself not to think or talk negatively, but rather thank God in all situations and speak blessings unto the situation, ensuring I chart my course and the situation in the direction of God’s perfect will for my life.

“And now that we are Christ’s we are the true descendants of Abraham, and all of God’s promises to him belong to us.” – Galatians 3:29

God blessed Abraham in all things, and according to the scripture above everything God promised to Abraham also is promised to us and we should use our mouth to confess these blessings.

We need to function with the consciousness that God has made everything available to and possible for us in Christ.

Light Up

Light Up

It’s been almost 2 weeks since the beginning of August, which means 2 weeks into our Month of The Shining Light!
But 2 weeks in does not mean 2 Weeks left to shine your light or that your light should be getting dimmer with every passing moment. If anything, we should be getting brighter, the more we walk in the light.

Just because it may seem like the month isn’t going exactly the way you thought it would doesn’t mean that there’s nothing to be happy about.

Remember, we can create our own happiness, because everything we need to be successful and live a glorious life, is inside of us.

We shouldn’t let circumstances determine our wellbeing and let seemingly negative situations dampen our light.

You were meant to shine and don’t let anybody or any situation try and tell you different.

“You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.” – Matthew 5:14-15.

When you feel like things aren’t going your way, remember that the glory of God is inside of you and that is a greater truth than what you may feel. This glory allows us to function in the excellence and greatness of God, because He is a part of us as we are in Him.

Negative situations may come up to try and contradict God’s Word but the best thing for us to do is to keep the light inside of us burning and shining out, and to continue dwelling in the word and speaking the Word.

We shouldn’t take the things of God for granted.

The Word never gets old and never changes – so the same Word that said you were the light of the World yesterday is the same Word that is saying it today. And the more we walk with God and in His word, the more we discover the beauty of Him and eventually ourselves.

“But we Christians have no veil over our faces; we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him.” – 2 Corinthians 3:18

So, don’t forget who you are and never give up on the Word. When challenges come your way, believe in what God has said concerning you and confess it true.

Darkness does not overcome you, because you have already overcome, so use your light to shine through. Light up your world for yourself and others.

The Shining Light

The Shining Light

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.  – Matthew 5:16

Welcome to the Month of ‘The Shining Light’! ✨👑

You know when you know, that something is just for you. That sure, everyone else can partake, but really, this is your Win? 🙌🏾😎

That’s how I’m feeling this month.

July, (The Month of Expansion) was truly amazing and I thank God for all the opportunities that he blessed me with and doors he opened for me.

So, this month of August, the month of ‘The Shining Light’, I’m taking my expansion; my growth and flourishing, shining & winning like never before!

And that should be the motive for all of us.

Isaiah 60:1-3 says,

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

Do you know how awesome this is?

Darkness everywhere, but YOU are the light that they will come to. This means we must be very special and very important if God has made us the light that guides others. And we shouldn’t forget this. You are important to God, to your nation, to the World 🌎

Sometimes, we may not feel like a shining star, but I’ve come to realise that it’s not always about how you feel, but about who you are and who God has made you to be. Never lose your zeal for the Word of God, keep the fire burning through prayer and studying and being an active Christian.
Don’t wait for someone to make you happy, we already have joy inside of us.

Everything you need is inside of you. All we have to do is create it, bring it out of us and walk in it – live in it, be it.

And we should learn to share this joy with others. People should rejoice in our light. Be glad to be a Child of God and gladly bring others into the kingdom. Learn to love and be happy ❤️

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

First Post of The Year! Wow.

Happy New Year People! I’m sure the Year has been awesome for you so far.

At the Global New Years Service with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Pastor announced that 2017 was the Year of Flourishing✨👑.

He also mentioned that this year is split in three parts:
– Luxuriant Growth 🌴

– Significant Attainment ✅

– Persistent Productivity 💫

You know, I looked up the word flourishing – nothing fancy, just typed it into google and these are a few of the definitions I got:

This means that this year is going to be full of fast and successful growth. It means everything we do, everything we touch has to turn out well and will do so with immense speed, while keeping the upmost quality of production (including self-growth).

The first definition mentions that this growth is “especially as the result of a particularly congenial environment”. A synonym for congenial is “suitable”.

So, in order for this healthy development, the correct environment is needed and what better suitable environment for Flourishing than in the Word of God?

One of the things I’ve learnt over the years is to not leave God out of your plans because when He is involved, success is 100% guaranteed.

“The righteous will flourish like the palm tree [long-lived, upright and useful]; They will grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic and stable].” – Psalm 92:15

Luxuriant relates to richness, abundance and thriving. This year, just like the palm tree, whatever the weather, time or place, know that you can and will thrive because the power to do so is within you and God has ordained it to be so.

We should hold on to His word to allow healthy growth in every aspect of our lives (spiritually, mentally, financially, in love) and let go of things that could stunt growth.

“Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing.” – Psalm 92:13-14

All those goals and plans and ideas we had for 2016 that for some reason or the other didn’t develop fully? Well that’s about to change.

This year, be determined to let nothing stop you for attaining your goals, distractions and negativity may come for any or all directions but remember who you are and stay focused on the goal.

Just like the palm tree, that reaches its high point no matter the circumstance, we too can achieve news breaking, world shaking attainments. Believe in yourself and the one who made you and nothing can stop you.

“May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.” – Psalm 20:4

This year of flourishing God has ordained for us to be able to produce high-yielding results constantly. Remember that nothing matters that is against God’s Word that can affect your productivity.

Speak in tongues and spend time meditating on God’s Word to improve yourself and your ability to produce persistently successful and desired results.

“But they delight in doing everything God wants them to, and day and night are always meditating on his laws and thinking about ways to follow him more closely. They are like trees along a riverbank bearing luscious fruit each season without fail. Their leaves shall never wither, and all they do shall prosper.” – Psalm 1:2-3.

This year we are continuing the spreading, adding significant attainment and persistent productivity to our development, knowing that we are and everything that we do is useful. We’re spreading and doing it in style.

We shine✨ & We Win👑
🌴Always 🌴

And So This Is Christmas

And So This Is Christmas

Every year we get asked “So, what does Christmas mean to you?” And we usually list things such as ‘helping, love, family, joy’ & last but not least ‘Happy Birthday Jesus’. But I recently rewatched one of a Pastors, My Pastors (Rev. Chris Oyakhilome) Christmas messages and he put it in the most simplest, truthful and fun way using an Acrostic format.

See below please. 😀💃🏾

All these wonderful things for one day!🎉😭

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6

Christmas all began because God loved us so much and He wants us to spread, share and show that love to everyone. Jesus came to give us life, that God-Kind of life, full of love and success and lacking in nothing!

God is a Father, Our Father and all He wants us for us to be Happy and Love Him and Others like He loves us & He sent Jesus to help us to do this. No Father wants their child to Suffer! And Jesus being born and alive in us today is God’s way of making sure that never happens💪🏾.

So, this is just a short post to say Merry Christmas, don’t forget that CHRIST is the reason for the season and I hope you had a wonderful or are having a wonderful time with the three F’s:

Family, Friends & Food!🎄🎁🎉😅

And I pray that your day is filled with laughter & Joy 😄✨

Remember to always show love ❤️, help others👫 & Share the Gospel – the Good News with someone today🙌🏾!
