Welcome to The Month of Blessings!

What an awesome way to enter the month of October after ‘catching the rain’ – receiving, meditating and making God’s word mine during September, the month of ‘springtime’.

During the October Global Communion service, Pastor Chris said:

“A blessing is that which confers, invokes, authorises or shares prosperity, power, ability and welfare. A contented state of being happy, healthy and successful.”

Okay…Where do I sign up for one of these? Am I right??

The truth is God already blessed us, right from our beginning,

“God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.”

– Genesis 1:22

And when God blesses you, you remain blessed!

How did God bless us in the beginning?

The bible tells us He said. God blesses us through His words and through our words is how we too should and can bless. We can speak over our situations and circumstances; over our jobs and studies; our whole day! (Genesis 2:3).

What we say can cause a blessing or a curse and we should learn to speak blessings.

 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.”

– Proverbs 18:21

If you are not satisfied with the way things are going, then change the way you talk. I have been training myself not to think or talk negatively, but rather thank God in all situations and speak blessings unto the situation, ensuring I chart my course and the situation in the direction of God’s perfect will for my life.

“And now that we are Christ’s we are the true descendants of Abraham, and all of God’s promises to him belong to us.”

– Galatians 3:29

God blessed Abraham in all things, and according to the scripture above everything God promised to Abraham also is promised to us and we should use our mouth to confess these blessings.

We need to function with the consciousness that God has made everything available to and possible for us in Christ.
