Welcome to October the month of Blessings!

What an awesome way to enter the month of October after ‘catching the rain’ – receiving, meditating and making God’s word mine during September, the month of ‘springtime’.

During the October Global Communion service, Pastor Chris said:

“A blessing is that which confers, invokes, authorises or shares prosperity, power, ability and welfare. A contented state of being happy, healthy and successful.”

Okay…Where do I sign up for one of these? Am I right? 😅

The truth is God already blessed us, right from our beginning,

“God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” – Genesis 1:22

And when God blesses you, you remain blessed!

How did God bless us in the beginning?

The bible tells us He said. God blesses us through His words and through our words is how we too should and can bless. We can speak over our situations and circumstances; over our jobs and studies; our whole day! (Ref. Genesis 2:3).

What we say can cause a blessing or a curse and we should learn to speak blessings.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.” – Proverbs 18:21

If you are not satisfied with the way things are going, then change the way you talk. I have been training myself not to think or talk negatively, but rather thank God in all situations and speak blessings unto the situation, ensuring I chart my course and the situation in the direction of God’s perfect will for my life.

“And now that we are Christ’s we are the true descendants of Abraham, and all of God’s promises to him belong to us.” – Galatians 3:29

God blessed Abraham in all things, and according to the scripture above everything God promised to Abraham also is promised to us and we should use our mouth to confess these blessings.

We need to function with the consciousness that God has made everything available to and possible for us in Christ.

And So This Is Christmas

And So This Is Christmas

Every year we get asked “So, what does Christmas mean to you?” And we usually list things such as ‘helping, love, family, joy’ & last but not least ‘Happy Birthday Jesus’. But I recently rewatched one of a Pastors, My Pastors (Rev. Chris Oyakhilome) Christmas messages and he put it in the most simplest, truthful and fun way using an Acrostic format.

See below please. 😀💃🏾

All these wonderful things for one day!🎉😭

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6

Christmas all began because God loved us so much and He wants us to spread, share and show that love to everyone. Jesus came to give us life, that God-Kind of life, full of love and success and lacking in nothing!

God is a Father, Our Father and all He wants us for us to be Happy and Love Him and Others like He loves us & He sent Jesus to help us to do this. No Father wants their child to Suffer! And Jesus being born and alive in us today is God’s way of making sure that never happens💪🏾.

So, this is just a short post to say Merry Christmas, don’t forget that CHRIST is the reason for the season and I hope you had a wonderful or are having a wonderful time with the three F’s:

Family, Friends & Food!🎄🎁🎉😅

And I pray that your day is filled with laughter & Joy 😄✨

Remember to always show love ❤️, help others👫 & Share the Gospel – the Good News with someone today🙌🏾!

Acton Carnival

Acton Carnival

On the 9th of July 2016, Acton Carnival happened. And of course WE happened too.

(Our Church stand where people were able to stop and talk to our appointed members behind the desk, find out information and be blessed by the word.)

Acton Carnival is one of the summer festivals that takes place in Ealing [London]. It is an amazing event celebrating the community and culture of everyone with live music, good food and beautiful stands.

My church, BLW Hammersmith actively took part in this carnival having our own stand in Acton Park and evangelising throughout the day with our daily devotional Rhapsody of Realities (ROR).

We had a glorious time giving out ROR and preaching the gospel to the many people that attended the carnival. I personally really enjoyed this opportunity because there were a lot of young people who came out on this beautiful day, who I and my other teens were able to reach out to and talk to about God and Jesus Christ.

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” – Mark 16:15

We have a job to do, and no one said we couldn’t have fun while doing it!

The atmosphere of love and laughter and life was very present and strong. But so was the presence of the Holy Spirit who was our guide and also doing his job as we did ours, planting the seed, the gospel into the people of the Acton community and all those who came to celebrate with us.

“And let us consider [thoughtfully] how we may encourage one another to love and to do good deeds, not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ’s return] approaching.” – Hebrews 10:24-25

As children of God, we need to take advantage of opportunities like this, to reach the masses, bring them into God’s loving arms, help each other grow in the Word and go back out there to reach more.

From the prayers leading up to the carnival to partaking on the day itself, it was a lovely experience and I cannot wait for next year!

First Fruit Service

First Fruit Service

First Fruit & First Timers

Good Evening Lovelies!

Hope you’ve had a lovely Sunday and a blessed week, I know I have.😉
#Churchistheplacetobe.💙

So in my church today we had First Fruit Service and no that doesn’t mean I waited for Tesco to open and bought the first fruits put on the shelf to take to church. 😀

For those thinking, “So what is first fruit then??” First Fruit is the first of your income. It’s the First and the Best of what you have to give to God. And is NOT to be taken lightly.

When you have come into the land which the Lord your God gives you as an inheritance and possess it and live in it, you shall take some of the first of all the produce of the soil which you harvest from the land the Lord your God gives you and put it in the basket…

– Deuteronomy 26: 1-2

It is a first of a series of what you want God to continuously give to you, believing and expecting more to come. It’s not like general offering. It’s like when you pay your bills you expect their to be light and your phone to work and all these other benefits of doing so, but you know that if you didn’t pay your bills these things wouldn’t come. Also, paying your bills doesn’t put on the light of the electric company, it puts on your light. So, it’s not like God needs the money but it is us who needs and wants to receive the blessings from giving.

My Pastor, Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome said the way and how much you give is dependent on how much you want to be blessed. You make that decision.

Imagine you are making a deal of some sort and you are told that whatever you give, it is 100% guaranteed that by the end of the deal you will get back ten times that, would you give small or big?

Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and they presses shall burst out with new wine.

Proverbs 3: 9-10

Remember that our giving to God is an act of our faith. And we must trust in him always and trust in his Word. The Word is the truth and by doing what it tells us to, we are doing what is right.👌 It doesn’t matter whether you work or you’re a student, pray about it and God will lead you in the right direction.

Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Psalm 37: 5-7

P.S. –

Speaking of things beginning with F…
The Fishers of Men project is also something important that is going on in my churh and other churches around the world and involves us going out to the people of the world and bringing them into to The Word.🌎🐟💒

So, next week (if you didn’t do it this Sunday) as you’re bringing your first fruit, bring someone to church too and make it mission to bring someone every week. God’s number one concern is Soul Winning and he’s given us the wonderful job of helping him do that.

Are you?

Happy Sunday 💕
