First Post of The Year! Wow.

Happy New Year People! I’m sure the Year has been awesome for you so far.

At the Global New Years Service with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Pastor announced that 2017 was the Year of Flourishing✨👑.

He also mentioned that this year is split in three parts:
– Luxuriant Growth 🌴

– Significant Attainment ✅

– Persistent Productivity 💫

You know, I looked up the word flourishing – nothing fancy, just typed it into google and these are a few of the definitions I got:

This means that this year is going to be full of fast and successful growth. It means everything we do, everything we touch has to turn out well and will do so with immense speed, while keeping the upmost quality of production (including self-growth).

The first definition mentions that this growth is “especially as the result of a particularly congenial environment”. A synonym for congenial is “suitable”.

So, in order for this healthy development, the correct environment is needed and what better suitable environment for Flourishing than in the Word of God?

One of the things I’ve learnt over the years is to not leave God out of your plans because when He is involved, success is 100% guaranteed.

“The righteous will flourish like the palm tree [long-lived, upright and useful]; They will grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic and stable].” – Psalm 92:15

Luxuriant relates to richness, abundance and thriving. This year, just like the palm tree, whatever the weather, time or place, know that you can and will thrive because the power to do so is within you and God has ordained it to be so.

We should hold on to His word to allow healthy growth in every aspect of our lives (spiritually, mentally, financially, in love) and let go of things that could stunt growth.

“Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing.” – Psalm 92:13-14

All those goals and plans and ideas we had for 2016 that for some reason or the other didn’t develop fully? Well that’s about to change.

This year, be determined to let nothing stop you for attaining your goals, distractions and negativity may come for any or all directions but remember who you are and stay focused on the goal.

Just like the palm tree, that reaches its high point no matter the circumstance, we too can achieve news breaking, world shaking attainments. Believe in yourself and the one who made you and nothing can stop you.

“May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.” – Psalm 20:4

This year of flourishing God has ordained for us to be able to produce high-yielding results constantly. Remember that nothing matters that is against God’s Word that can affect your productivity.

Speak in tongues and spend time meditating on God’s Word to improve yourself and your ability to produce persistently successful and desired results.

“But they delight in doing everything God wants them to, and day and night are always meditating on his laws and thinking about ways to follow him more closely. They are like trees along a riverbank bearing luscious fruit each season without fail. Their leaves shall never wither, and all they do shall prosper.” – Psalm 1:2-3.

This year we are continuing the spreading, adding significant attainment and persistent productivity to our development, knowing that we are and everything that we do is useful. We’re spreading and doing it in style.

Christ In Action

2016 has been declared our “Year Of Spreading”

The Lord has spoken to us this year of 2016. Now let’s keep running with this word “It Is My Year Of Spreading” This means a year of the spreading of gospel, the message all that concerns you will spread in every direction.

Matthew 13:33 “He told them another parable: The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.”

There is a message the Lord has given to the world and it will spread all over the earth it will be like the yeast in the dough. It doesn’t matter how small you start off, it doesn’t matter how small your idea may seem or how low your grades are etc it will spread it will increase this year. It cannot be stopped! Your expansion, your…

Happy New Year

New Year, New Me

Happy New Year Lovelies!

Welcome to 2016. A Year sure to be full of amazing and wonderful things.

This is the first official post of ‘iShineiWin’ and what better way to launch a blog than with a post welcoming you to the new year!

The 1st of January is usually the day when a lot of people realise that the promises they made to themselves (and to God) may be harder than they thought to keep. Then usually over the next few days that follow, the plans you had for “new year, new me” start to unravel before your eyes and you realise that you’ve become so accustomed to failing at keeping resolutions, it doesn’t even phase you anymore and has even become a running joke.

A dear S.I.C posted on this on Facebook not too long ago:

“That ‘new year, new me’ statement just doesn’t make sense to me to be honest. Unless you’re giving your life to Christ on the 1st Jan… #JustSayin”

When I saw this I was quick to like that post. I was just like “Yes, tell them. Tell. Them.”

However, I’m sure at the time a lot of us do mean it, who doesn’t want to be the best of themselves? And just like I thought the new year would be a good time to launch my blog, some of us thought it would be a good time to renovate ourselves. But it’s easy to fall back into an old routine when you don’t have the right mind set to stop you from doing so. I mean, saying we’re going to change is very different from actually doing so and for some reason once we try to make that change it can seem like the hardest thing in the world.

How about in this new year, we don’t try to be anything, we just be. Sometimes when the word ‘try’ is put in front of something it can seem like that thing you’re ‘trying’ to do becomes a chore or a task. Not to go all Yoda on you guys but,

“Do or do not. There is no try.”

You can be everything God wants you to be and more if you only allow yourself to let go and let God. Stop trying to be a “better person”, start declaring that you have the life of God in you and nothing can stop you from achieving your goals for 2016! Speak right! Don’t admit defeat before you’ve even taken a step towards victory.

Have the mind set that anything is possible with God, including all you want to be and do in this new year. Give your body to The Word. God’s Word brings us faith, hope, strength and direction. We don’t have to look anywhere else for these things. Let the word of God shine through you, increase you and upgrade you. Be conscious of your origin.

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world” – 1 John 4:4

We must learn to confess the right things concerning our lives. The word of God has creative power to transform our lives. It brings only good things to us and transforms circumstances that may seem hopeless in our lives, making them a testimony instead.

let go

And also pray. God wants us to talk to him and he has so much to say to us. He is more willing to give to us then we are willing to receive. I don’t think the God that gave his son for us, wants anything less than the best out of our lives. So, let this year be the year you do more for Him and be more of your new creation self and less of the world.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” – Romans 12:2

Talk right. Think right. Act right.

P.S. – For those of you who may be thinking it’s too late. It’s never to late to be a child of God. Jesus died for everybody. I mean everybody. God has given you a chance to be that new you. He has already called you, he’s just waiting for you to answer the call. xo

Happy New Year again peeps & remember to tell yourself “I shine, I win.”  (As if we could do anything else. *hair flick*)
